Fair Fun

Hi loves!! Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve been on here, but with moving, traveling and running our business it’s been a tad crazy over here… not to mention I still have boxes in the garage I need to unpack which I’ve been avoiding! However I have lots of new exciting things I’m working on that I can’t wait to share with you all! Thank you for your patience with me, it means the world to have you stop by and read along!

So Robert is always taking pictures of me and the kids which I cherish more than anything! However this time I wanted to be behind the camera and get more pictures of him and the boys… needless to say I went a bit picture savage and didn’t realize just how many I took until I uploaded them… and guys….it’s an embarrassing amount!! Sometimes I forget just how much I love taking pictures and capturing special moments. Turns out I had a really hard time narrowing them down…  so I’m sharing a TON! Scroll down if you have time… but I mean a lot of time lol

Guilty…I couldn’t just pick one pic to share, it was his first time having cotton candy!

My Favorite Things About The Fair:

1.

Watching the kids… I think this will always be my favorite. I love spying on their expressions when they see the lights and rides around them. Their little innocent eyes just light up and it makes the moment that much sweeter!

He won a plastic bat and ball so of coarse… we had to play baseball at the fair ; )

2.

Firsts – first fair, first ride, first time eating cotton candy, etc. it’s my favorite and I’m so thankful we have captured all of  those over the past 3 years with our kids.

^^mom life… amiright?!^^

3.

All the deep-fried and sugary goodness.. like ALLL of them guys, funnel cake, candy apples, cotton candy, mini donuts… give me them all!

4.

Lights… just something about them makes the night feel magical!

5.

The sound… Kydens screams of excitement but also call me a weirdo, I love hearing kids and parents I don’t know at all, just laughing and screaming because they are having so much  fun! It makes me so happy and makes the night just that much more special.

Love this one so much of my big boy! I have the same picture from last year of him… I could have shared more of him eating cotton candy but I restrained myself

yes… he’s always eating : )

Every since I can remember, going to the fair has always been one of my favorite times of the year. I grew up in a really small farming town so when the fair would be in town (which was actually the nearest city to us) it was a really big deal and I have some of my favorite memories of my childhood there when I was teeny tiny to then also a few memories of teenage years where my friends and I would get all ready and go hoping we would see our crushes there haha Anyways of course when we had Kyden we wanted to make the same memories with him and hope he would enjoy the fair as much as we did. Safe to say he does! We have been going to the fair as a family every single year and this year we got to take our Jettler boy to his first Fair!!! We always take the same picture with the kids in front of the Ferris wheel every single year. I LOVE them so much because it’s crazy to see how much Kyden has changed over the years so I’m excited to see Jett’s next year. He’s already changed so much in the past few months and I’m struggling with the fact that he’s turning 1 next month!! I feel like this year went by faster then any others,  am I the only one tat thinks that? Time just needs to slow down a bit.

Anyways the weather was perfect this week for the fair and Salt Lake City has some of the best sunsets I have honestly ever seen and both nights we went the sky was UNBELIEVABLE, it was bright pink everywhere! We truly had a blast and Kyden loved the rides as much as his sweets. He’s actually kind of funny to watch on them because he like goes into this mode where he is straight faced on them so at first we weren’t sure if he even liked them but when he gets off he’s a jumping jelly bean full of excitement but then we he would go on another ride he would be right back into his serious mode on the ride and then… be so pumped to high five us after? lol I have never been so proud of him, he’s our shy boy so getting him to go on a ride alone we thought might be a challenge but he surprised us and walked up right away like it was no big deal, paid his tokens and went on the rides! And guys… some of those little kid rides go hot dang fast…. this mama was having a hard time watching him on a few of them but they didn’t bother him one bit haha I’m that paranoid mom : ) He did fill up on all the fair sweets tho and I even got some candy apple in my hair by the end of the night… mom life! Jett was just memorized by the lights, all the rides and just always smiling and so happy to just be there! Confession… I think he’s an angel baby! He never makes going out hard ever… he’s such a mellow baby and just goes with the flow. Well until he’s hungry and then he’ll let you know 😉 and he got hungry at the fair so he devoured a bunch of fair food in no time : ) safe to say he’s a fan of fairs too!

On the last night we went they had fireworks after so we waited up to watch them…

These firework got me all excited for Canada Day (July 1st) and Independence Day (July 4th) celebrations. We celebrate both since I’m Canadian and Robert is American and our kids are… Canamericans as we call them : ) What are some of your plans?  I’d love to hear if any of you have traditions you do every year for either. Fireworks are always must for us each year. I just love them!!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a great week!

XX, Stacey
