Bahama Mama

Bahama Mama

This winter has made us stir crazy, either it’s I spend an hour putting 5 layers of clothes on the kids and myself  just to go to Target or it’s a record-breaking wind storm so we needed to get away. Thankfully my husband is used to my shenanigans and when I was searching for places to go on a hot trip to and found a killer deal to go to the Bahamas he was on board. We stayed at the amazing Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Resort which is actually a very new Resort and everything is beyond stunning! I initially was looking at an all-inclusive but we actually saved over $600 all said and done by going with the Grand Hyatt… SERIOUSLY and that is actually even with us splurging on some meals at our resort. We did pack our own snacks for the kids and brought those with us to save some money. But unless you plan on drinking a lot (we aren’t big drinkers) all inclusive’s may not always the best deal and in this case we got to stay at a luxury resort for less. We actually stayed at a Grand Hyatt in Kauai for our honeymoon and I think I’m now forever a Grand Hyatt girl for life. Compared to any other hot trip vacations either of us have had, I can truthfully say no other hotel/resort has even come close to our Grand Hyatt vacation experiences.

Our resort had multiple restaurants and even had 3 super cute and yummy food trucks right by the beach (Robert and I looovvvve food trucks!).  Also because coffee and I are best friends, our resort had a Starbucks so that was the winner for me!  We found the pool/garden restaurants to be our favorite only because it was much easier to take the kids to. The pool areas were incredible, I mean they had cabanas that rained down water off the sides, they had waterfalls, cliff jumping (Robert’s favorite) and a cove with a huge aquarium that kids could swim up too. The resort even has its own promenade of cute colorful shops, restaurants, cute drink bars and an exploration center for kids where they can feed sea turtles. Kyden was a huge fan!! I truly can’t say enough about this resort, they even have two sister resorts attached to the property. We picked the Grand Hyatt because it had everything and was the most family friendly but the other two looked incredible also, one is The Rosewood which is a luxury villa style living resort and the other is SLS Baha Mar which is a trendy upscale resort (more for couples or singles).

Believe it or not this bikini is under $13 (usd) and comes in 5 colors!!

Our resort had so many different amazing pools but this was our go to all week. Not only did it have cliffs to jump off they also have a cove that Kyden loved (behind the waterfall). That’s where the swim up aquarium is, it was so cool. If you read my other Bahama posts coming soon you’ll see pictures of it. It’s actually part of their kids exploration center where you can take your kids to feed the turtles like I mentioned above. Such a cool place for kids.

Jettler loved Chantilla and so did we!

Thank you Grand Hyatt Baha Mar for hosting us and giving us such a memorable trip!
